A Journey through My Daze of Dieting

Weekly Weigh In #1. April 24, 2007

Whoo Hoo!

After making a few, uh, eating mistakes – it looks all the yard work and extra movement paid off.

I lost 2.3 pounds this week!

I am officially down to 185.7 pounds. It was not as much as I had hoped, and I did really well for 5 out of the 7 days, but it is an average weekly weight loss. So I am thrilled.

Let me tell you, seeing that “5″ on the end is so satisfying to me. I got pregnant with my first born at exactly 155 pounds, and I was a perfect size 10. I think it was my most comfortable weight too. So that is just 30 pounds until I get there – even though I would like to lose a few more than that.

Onto week two and another loss! I am going to try to do even better.

I would like to have lost 15 by my 40th birthday, which is May 26th. Do you think I can do it? That would be 12.7 pounds to lose in the next 32 days – or about 3 pounds a week. AAAAGH!

How did you do this week?

Congratulations ! I lost 2lbs this week too – am very relieved as I had a bad day Sunday (could NOT stop eating).
3lbs a week weight loss is a lot to keep up. Are you sure you want to aim that high ? If you were much heavier, it may be easier, but as you’re not that overweight, it will be a lot more difficult. Just be careful !

YEAH – Good for you and your weight loss this week too.

I am HOPING to stick to my eating plan all the time and kick up the exercising to try to get as close to my goal as possible. Wish me luck!!!

BTW – Do you have a blog we can visit, librariann?

Yes, but it’s not about dieting ! I know a lot of my colleagues from my last job read it and I was too embarrassed to put my diet on it. But feel free to take a look : http://librariann.wordpress.com Note that any food comments I make died out at around the time I started my diet (5 weeks ago) – trying to cook interesting food, with fresh ingredients, that are low-calorie AND appeal to my young man – a lot of effort ! I’m trying, but at the moment, filling and healthy win out over new and interesting when it comes to meals !
